James Dwight Phillips, P.E.

Mr. Phillips is responsible for the complete electrical design and layout of industrial manufacturing facilities, food processing plants, water and wastewater treatment plants, federal courthouse, medical facilities, banks, university facilities, schools, libraries, churches, public housing, city pedestrian/street lighting, public parks, commercial retail buildings, city municipal buildings, county courthouse renovations, municipal fire and emergency facilities, warehouses, emergency power systems, hazardous location installations, industrial machine controls, and large estates.

All electrical designs are performed with strict adherence to the National Electrical code, Life Safety code, International Building code, International Energy Conservation code (IECC), National Fire Alarm code and all applicable State and Local codes. All designs include energy conservation analysis, seismic design, load analysis and calculations, voltage drop calculations, lighting calculations, short circuit studies/protective device coordination and arc flash analysis using state of the art computer software.  Project designs include fire alarm systems, emergency and exit lighting systems, security systems, sound systems, and emergency power systems and SCADA system design and coordination with system integration suppliers.

Mr. Phillips is currently involved in many commercial, industrial, institutional, municipal, state, federal and private design projects.  He also performs electrical inspections for the State of Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance.
